Domaine Alone

Domaine Alône
- a vineyard in the heart of the Var - France

A singular vineyard in the heart of a former sand quarry at altitude.

domaine alone var

At the head of the estate, two pure Provençals founded Domaine Alône, an extraordinary place where passion for wine goes hand in hand with the preservation of a rare terroir.

Set between wild hills and sandy soils, this wine estate embodies the soul of an authentic vineyard, far off the beaten track.
Here, each plot tells its own story through the finesse of its aromas, combined with a know-how passed on with generosity and a resolutely respectful approach to nature.

The Vignoble
- an atypical terroir in the heart of the Var -

Nestled in the Var department of France, Domaine Alône is distinguished by its exceptional terroir. Here, each vine draws strength from an original soil, offering wines that surprise with their freshness and finesse from the very first tasting.

sand

A unique sandy terroir

Protected by a natural cirque, the vineyard lies on sand-rich soil that ensures exemplary drainage. This terroir, in the heart of the Sainte-Baume natural park, lends the wines an inimitable minerality and freshness, particularly appreciated by connoisseurs of singular cuvées.

mountain

Temperate altitude

Situated at altitudes of between 420 and 470 m, our vines benefit from wide temperature variations between day and night. This allows us to preserve the elegance and subtlety of each cuvée, whether rosé, red or future wine explorations.

bunch of grapes

Grape varieties adapted
to the soul of the estate

We use carefully selected grape varieties, sometimes outside the appellation, to fully express the uniqueness of this Var vineyard. Each plot is planted with respect for the soil and biodiversity, to create wines that reflect the unique personality of this terroir and its quest for excellence.

A respectful, minimalist approach

From the work in the vineyard to the cellar, we limit inputs and rely on lunar cycles to guide the growth of our plants. From pruning to hand harvesting, everything is designed to preserve the natural balance of the vineyard and offer unique wine-tasting experiences, as close as possible to the expression of the terroir.

natural winemaking

Natural winemaking

We favor a minimalist approach, using indigenous yeasts to fully respect the terroir's identity.
Throughout fermentation, we are careful to limit inputs to preserve the purity of the fruit.
This method, prized by lovers of singular cuvées, gives the wines a much-appreciated freshness and intensity.

stainless steel tanks dmoaine alone

Stainless steel tanks

Our stainless steel tanks guarantee optimal temperature control and impeccable hygiene. Suitable for both rosés and reds, they help preserve clean, precise aromas. For our visitors, it's an opportunity to discover how modern technology is used to produce a wine deeply rooted in Provencal tradition.

breeding sphere

Breeding spheres

To bring out the finesse and purity of the fruit in our wines, we have chosen to age some of them in ceramic and Limoges porcelain spheres. These containers respect natural micro-oxygenation and preserve freshness, offering a singular aromatic profile that is increasingly seductive during wine tastings. It is this quest for authenticity that shapes our reputation as a demanding winery.

Wood lightning

For our red wines, we choose to age them in oak barrels. This traditional method provides subtle micro-oxygenation, giving the wines greater complexity, roundness and depth. By blending harmoniously with the purity of the fruit, the wood reveals another facet of Alône's sandy terroir, offering an even more nuanced tasting experience for lovers of great wines.
